STA Garners Post-Season Honors
June 10, 2009
St. Albans Lacrosse earned numerous honors at the US Lacrosse-Secondary School selection meeting on June 8.
Roger Ferguson ’09 and Chris Landon ’09 were named US Lacrosse All-Americans, the first time since 1991 that St. Albans has had two players receive that award in the same year. Five players total were selected from the Washington, DC, region. STA lacrosse players have earned All-American honors 14 times, dating back to 1989.
Ramsey Bates ’09 was named a US Lacrosse Academic All-American. Only two Academic All-Americans were selected for the Washington, DC, region. Bates is the seventh St. Albans varsity lacrosse player to be named Academic All-American, dating back to the inception of the award in 1994.
Also, St. Albans varsity coach Robby Walsh was selected as the “Assistant Coach of the Year.” One assistant coach in the region is selected for this award annually.
Congratulations to Roger Ferguson, Chris Landon, Ramsey Bates, Coach Walsh, and the 2009 St. Albans Bulldogs!
