Scrimmage vs Loyola-Blakefield

On Saturday, March 1, the varsity will scrimmage Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) at Catholic University, on Catholic’s new Sport Turf field. The teams have the turf from 3—6 p.m. The scrimmage will likely feature combined drills and controlled game situations from 3—4:30 and then a live scrimmage from 4:30—6 p.m. The late start will ensure that the boys taking the SAT will not be affected. Coach Lester will finalize details later in the week for boys traveling to the scrimmage from the SAT (the bus may have to depart before all of the boys have returned from the test, especially those players who need extended time). If your son is taking the SAT and you will be able to take him and other players to Catholic for the scrimmage, please contact Coach Lester. Also, as we are the guests of Catholic, which was been gracious in accommodating us, please observe the directions and parking stipulations below.
Directions from St Alban’s to DuFour Athletics Center main turf field: Take Massachusetts Ave towards downtown to North Capitol - Go left on North Capitol going north - after going under 2 tunnels you will come to Michigan Ave, NE - Go right on Michigan Ave - Catholic University will be a few blocks up on the left side - Pass the Shrine and go left on John McCormack Rd, NE - DuFour Athletics will be 1/2 mile on the left side - Park in the lot and enter the building - Field is up the stairs and out the glass doors.

- All players practice together, 3:30 - 6:15
Tuesday, Feb. 26
- All players practice together, 3:30 - 6:15
Wednesday, Feb. 27
- Blue-White Scrimmage, 4 - 6 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 28
- JV Practice, 3:30 - 5:45
- Varsity: 3:30 - 6:15
Friday, Feb. 29
- JV Practice, 3:30 - 5:30
- Varsity: 3:30 - 6:00
- Team Dinner, 6 - 7 p.m.
- Players taking the SAT on Saturday may leave the dinner early or bypass it altogether; those players should notify Coach Lester directly ahead of time so he can plan accordingly.
Saturday, March 1
- No JV Lax
- Varsity Scrimmage vs. Loyola-Blakefield, 3 p.m.
- Scrimmage will be held in the Stadium at Catholic University in Washington, DC.
- Players should report to STA by 12:30 if they need to get training room treatment
- Bus will depart around 1:30 p.m.
- Once we find out who is taking the SAT, and where, we will make arrangements and will make certain those players have a way to get to Catholic U.
- We have the turf from 3-6 p.m., so assume that we will be back at STA by 7 p.m.

College and Pro Lax This Weekend

Saturday, Feb. 23 - Maryland at Georgetown, 12 p.m. See the game preview in Inside Lacrosse.
Sunday, Feb. 24 - Washington Bayhawks Open Tryout at Georgetown Prep, 10 am - 1 p.m. The Bayhawks, the area’s professional outdoor lacrosse team, will be conducting open tryouts, which are open to the public and free. This would be a great opportunity for our players and parents to watch some of the best lacrosse players around as they compete to make a pro squad!
